Why did you choose to work at Sentra, and when did you join?
First of all the people, then the product.
After graduating from design school, I wanted to focus on the product design world.
I studied B.Des Visual Communication Design in Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art. I learned how to think outside the box, challenge myself, and see how it affects others by solving problems with design. Something about the combination of Design and Technology always attracted me, I loved the fact that even the most complex system in the world can be nice to look at and user friendly. That's why I wanted to join the Sentra family.
I started working in Sentra in August of 2023, after working in a product design studio.
I learned so much about the product design world there, and I felt that I was ready for my next challenge. From my first interview I knew this place is special, not only because of the product but because of the people. What I love about this place is the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries and how each team member has a significant contribution.
What is your role and what are your responsibilities?
As a Product Designer at Sentra, I’m shaping the user experience of our security solution, providing product value and customizing unique and innovative solutions to meet user needs.
I’m working alongside the product team on the product milestones to align the product goals, strategy and expectations. My responsibilities include crafting intuitive interfaces, conducting user research and collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure our users expectations.
What advice do you have for people getting started in your field?
For those entering the field of product design, my advice is to embrace curiosity and continuous learning. Stay curious of industry trends, be open to feedback and never underestimate the power of collaboration. Sentra provides an environment that encourages growth, so seize every opportunity to expand your skill set.
What’s the best thing about working at Sentra?
The best thing about working at Sentra is undeniably the phenomenal team. We’re a group of passionate individuals who share a common goal. The collaborative spirit, mutual support and shared enthusiasm for innovation create a work environment that feels more like a family than just a workplace.
Can you tell me something surprising you discovered while working at Sentra?
One surprising aspect of working at Sentra is how fast things work here and that there is no hierarchy. Everyone works together with good vibes!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?
If I could choose anywhere in the world, I’d pick Spain. I love walking around Barcelona streets and being inspired by their music, food, art, architecture and culture!
What's on your professional 'bucket list' that you'd like to accomplish in the next 5-10 years?
I believe people should challenge themself every single day. I want to expand my professional and creative skills in the product design field and become a Head of Design someday. I know it’ll take time and I have so much to learn, but that's why I chose to work in Sentra. I love my job and I feel that every day I’m learning something new!
