Security Research, Threat Hunting, Incident Response. My journey in cybersecurity has been driven by a passion for understanding emerging threats and helping organizations strengthen their defenses. I’ve spent years studying techniques and attack patterns, building detection systems, and working on cutting-edge security practices.
Why did you choose to work at Sentra, and when did you join?
I joined Sentra at the beginning of 2024 because the company’s mission of focusing on data-centric security deeply resonated with me. It’s not just about stopping attacks, it’s about understanding and protecting the data that attackers are after. I wanted to be part of building that future.
What is your role and what are your responsibilities?
I’m a Security Researcher at Sentra. I’ve had the opportunity to lead and build our security research infrastructure from the ground up. This includes researching various cloud infrastructures, developing cutting-edge research methodologies, and crafting innovative detection strategies to ensure we stay ahead of emerging threats and protect critical data.
What advice do you have for people getting started in your field?
Never stop learning. The cybersecurity field evolves rapidly, and being adaptable is crucial. Take the time to understand the ‘why’ behind attacks. It’s not just about knowing the tools and techniques but understanding the motives and methods behind them.
What’s the best thing about working at Sentra?
The best thing about Sentra is the people. I’m surrounded by passionate, intelligent individuals who all bring a unique perspective to solving complex security problems. We all share the same goal, which is to innovate and build the best solutions for our customers, and that creates a very motivating and supportive environment.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?
I’d probably choose a place like Paris or Rome. Both cities are rich in history and culture, and I find the blend of ancient architecture with modern innovation fascinating. Plus, they’re both major tech hubs, which means I could stay connected to the latest advancements while enjoying the vibrant lifestyle these cities offer.
What's on your professional 'bucket list' that you'd like to accomplish in the next 5-10 years?
I’d like to influence the security world by helping shape how we tackle emerging threats and developing new approaches that could become widely adopted. Beyond that, I’m excited to explore completely new topics in security that are just starting to evolve. Ultimately, I want to contribute to building a more resilient security landscape while continuing to grow and learn in this ever-changing field.
